Dehradun: With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, several right-wing groups are prepping up to hinder the celebrations and school young couples against the day of love. One such group, known as ‘Bajrang Dal’ has decided to shoot videos of couples caught indulging in “indecent acts” at public places.
The group will also make the videos of harassers and stalkers and submit them to the police to prevent any ‘unethical’ activity. Around 250 activists would reportedly be deployed at several places to shoot videos of couples indulged in obscene activities in public.
However, the identity of couples will not be disclosed as the group will blur their faces.
Besides, the members of the fringe group have also decided to keep a strict vigil and counsel the youth against celebrating Valentine’s Day.
Meanwhile, police have stepped up the security arrangements and deployed its team at public places to ward off any untoward incidents and maintain law and order. A police official reportedly said that any kind of moral policing by Bajrang Dal or anybody will not be allowed.
Celebrated on February 14, Valentine’s Day evokes controversy every year with several groups preaching the young couples about the Indian culture. Some of the groups even resort to violence and manhandle the couples celebrating the day.
